BMW Recalls Cars for Defective Lights and Heaters

The luxury car company, BMW, has recalled 241,000 3-series cars in the U.S. due to a defective rear light, which the car company says could potentially cause crashes.  Vehicles included in the recall are model years 2002 to 2005 of the 325i, 325xi, 330i, and 330xi cars.  According to BMW, these cars may have tail, brake, and turn signals that only work intermittently.

However, the rear light defect isn’t the only recall for BMW.  Recently, BMW also recalled 120,000 diesel cars worldwide due to defective heater filters that run after the engine has been turned off, potentially draining the battery.  Although this recall is worldwide, about 2,000 X5 SUVs (built between Sept. 2008 and April 2009) are affected.

The personal injury and accident attorneys at Messa & Associates have successfully represented many victims of defective motor vehicles and motor vehicle component parts.  If you or a loved one has been seriously injured by one of the recalled BMW motor vehicles, please contact us at 1-877-MessaLaw.
