Approximately 169,000 Pogo Sticks are being recalled by Bravo Sports because the bottom of the frame tube can break or come apart and a pin holding the spring in place can break. The defect poses laceration and fall hazards to users.
Bravo has received 123 reports involving the defective pogo sticks. Some the incidents have resulted in teeth injuries and facial lacerations requiring stitches.
The recall includes the Rocket Stick Pogo, Pop Stick Pogo, Monster Stick Pogo and Twin Stick Pogo sold at mass merchandisers and online by Web retailers from May 2010 through March 2011. The pogo sticks costs between $25 and $40.
Rocket, Pop, Monster or Twin are printed on the stem and on the foot pedals. Consumers should immediately stop using the pogo sticks.
