Two Companies Recall Infant Products

Arm’s Reach Concept, Inc is recalling 76,000 infant bed-side sleepers.  The company says when the fabric liner is not used or is not securely attached, infants can fall from the raised mattress into the loose fabric at the bottom of the bed-side sleeper or can become entrapped between the edge of the mattress and the side of the sleeper, posing risks of suffocation, entrapment or a fall risk.

Arm's Reach has received 10 reports of infants falling from the raised mattress into the bottom of the sleeper or becoming entrapped between the edge of the mattress and the side of the bed-side sleeper.

Key Baby, LLC is recalling its Pampers Natural Stages Infant Ortho and Bulb Pacifiers.  The 29,000 pacifiers affected by the recall fail to meet federal safety standards and pose a choking hazard to young children.  They come in yellow, pink or blue and are made of silicone.

Burlington Coat Factory, Babies R Us and other retailers nationwide sold the bed-side sleepers from September 1997 through December 2001 for $160.  The pacifiers were sold at retail stores nationwide from April 2010 through February 2011 for $6.  Consumers should immediately stop using both the infant bed-side sleepers and the pacifiers.
